If there's one here you don't see, beat the gollum. Upon approval, the staff will forward a copy of your character sheet to you via site PM for easy reference. You may also see your character sheet in your profile. As xp is spent and the sheet is modified, an updated copy will be forwarded so that players always have easy access to the most up to date stats for their characters. Experience will be granted two ways. Base monthly earning, and via ST grant. Base monthly xp will equal four points for a month's play. In order to claim this xp, each player will need to contact their ST via site PM at the start of each month to claim xp for the month previous, and request any xp spending. This will need to be done for each character that you play. Please include which character you're claiming xp for, as well as a brief write up on what was done to earn the xp and running totals for that character. For example: Character: Teri Jensen this month, Teri worked on training her ghoul, and used his contact at the gym to start private kickboxing lessons. several scenes were done via ICQ with the ghoul, and the negotiation for the lessons was done with the AST onsite. she also followed up on the leads on purchasing a small building for business that were began last month. would like to spend part of her xp to buy the first dot in athletics to relect the lessons. previous xp total: 10 monthly total: 4 spent xp: 3 new xp total: 11 Storytellers will get back with players as soon as possible, either to acknowledge that the post has been recieved and everything is fine, or to discuss any adjustments or questions that need to be addressed. Can I transfer my character from another game? The mage game is no longer accepting transfer characters. Vampire and werewolf are accepting submissions for transfer characters, and they will be considered for approval on a case by case basis. Please understand that all transfer characters will still need to go through the approval process, and that blanket approval is not guaranteed. A complete character history which explains your character's stats and motivations for coming to Pittsburg increases your chances of approval. In keeping with the more traditional feeling of the site, crossover will carry with it dangers as well as benefits. Each game has it’s own secrets to keep, and it’s own way to deal with those who spill these secrets. While crossover isn’t forbidden, players should keep in mind that IC actions will result in IC consequences. Characters openly associating with other Supernatural types and sharing information should not be surprised when their lives are threatened. Likewise, players should expect that if the IC “powers that be” discover such interaction through reasonable, IC means, the character in question may be lost. That said, under no circumstances will characters created for the sole purpose of eliminating other characters be approved. Players that demonstrate a pattern of PC killing for the sole purpose of killing other characters will be removed from the site. Registration is not required if you just want to take a look around or have an ooc handle. For PCs, registration is required - the reason for this is so that we can track xp and character sheets. Registration has benefits that far outweigh the minute or two it'll take to do so - In the chats, you can have your own profile (which saves you the time of having to post a DD every time someone walks in), the ability to create your own room for scenes that take place in a character-specific location, and your characters' posting color is saved. On the site, you automatically get your own IC journal, posting priveliges on the forums, Site PM's, and a few other handy benefits. First, curse the Webgollum for his idiocy, incompetence, poor hygiene, and whatever the hell else you can think of. Then, email him at webgollum@wodpitt.com - in there, mention what's happening, any error messages might be popping up, and anything else you might have been doing. Please note that you do need to allow popups for some of the chat features to work. Most of the chat issues can be resolved by hitting reload on your browser, or by closing and re-opening all browser windows. It's a relatively simple process. Click the lost password link, enter your login name and the email address you used when you signed up, and a link to change your password will be emailed to you. When you click on the link, your password will be changed, and you can then log in and change your password. Note that this will change your password for both the site and the chat. This is actually fairly simple. Observe the few site rules that we've laid down, and treat everyone else on the site with respect and fairness. Just like in the WoD, not everyone gets along outside of the game. No one is expected to like everyone else, but everyone is expected to act in an adult manner when dealing with other players and staff. Keep in mind that not everyone has the same "offensive content" filter that you do. This includes both extremities. There is no need for swearing like a longshoreman, and there is equally no need to protest someone else’s language beyond a polite request that they change it. If a polite request is thrown in your direction, please honor it and tone it down a bit. Respect other people's enjoyment of the game. Don't go around blindly killing off other characters or forcing yourself into scenes because it's "fun". Realize that even if you don't have an emotional bond to your character, other players might. We're asking people to put a lot of thought and work into their characters, and to participate in mature and meaningful roleplay. Be patient with the Storytellers. There are an extremely limited number of volunteer Storytellers and Assistants. They do their best to sanction, update, moderate, and create storylines, but they're human. They do make mistakes; they do have jobs and social lives that take them away from the chat - really, they do. They are usually bombarded by requests the minute they show up. In an effort to allow our staff to enjoy the game as players too, we encourage our STs to play regular player characters as well as any NPCs they may have. If an ST is playing a character of their own, please respect that and try not to interrupt the ST during his/her roleplay, either publicly or in PM's. Pressing issues are one thing, but no one likes to have their personal roleplay interrupted by constant OOC interaction. All issues with players should follow the following resolution chain: 1. Speak with the other player calmly and try to resolve the issue. Staff is always available to moderate these discussions if the players wish. 2. If discussion does not solve the issue, take it to your ST. Include as much information as you can, including any logs that you may have. More complete information will make the process as fair as possible. 3. In the event that the ST staff is not able to resolve the issue, contact the Administration staff. (admin@wodpitt.com) Again, please include as much information as possible. Complaints against Assistant Storytellers should be taken directly to the Head Storyteller in charge of that game. Complaints against a Head Storyteller should be taken directly to the Administration staff. As with player complaints, please include as much information as possible, such as logs and private message conversations. Under no circumstances should staff complaints be taken to the players or other staff. Infighting and backstabbing create drama, and all drama is best kept IC. That shouldn't count, I was... We're all - okay, we're mostly all adults here. If your character does something while you the player are under the influence of drugs/alcohol/sleep deprivation/pop music/bad moon rising/wicked paper cut....it still counts. This is not to say that you can't game while under said influences (the Webgollum has been known to take 4 shots of Jack Daniels and do some seriously jacked-up stuff) - however, your level of intoxication doesn't nullify your characters' actions. | |||||||||
